ReconRobotics Expands International Sales Effort

 

EDINA, Minn. – Alan Bignall, Chief Executive Officer of ReconRobotics, Inc., announced today that the company has appointed Barry E.T. Harris, M.B.E. as Director of International Business Development. Working in partnership with the company’s established network of international distributors in 25 countries, Harris will lead the company’s business development activities directed towards foreign military forces from his office in the United Kingdom. Harris was most recently the Managing Director of Macroswiss SA, a developer and manufacturer of military and police robot systems. He has also held sales and business development posts at Defence Optical Systems and Falcon Protec.

In 2008, ReconRobotics introduced the Recon Scout® IR reconnaissance robot – the first throwable, miniature mobile robot with the capability of seeing in complete darkness. More than 100 police and military agencies worldwide now use Recon Scout robots for tactical reconnaissance during high-risk operations.
